Sales Manager – Business Developer in Germany

Development and sales of innovative Hightech Isolation material


Our client is a German-Slovenian joint venture, company, with R&D and sales headquartered in Germany. Its state-of-the-art production in located in Slovenia. The company has been awarded several patents for its product innovations. We are looking for a Sales Manager – Head of a small young team who will penetrate and further grow the market selling the unique “nonwoven” material made of melamine and present it to clients from automotive, construction, filtration, safety textiles or other industries.


This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to be part of the success story from the early beginning reaching 20 mio EUR in sales to b2b and b2c European clients by 2022. Your mission will be to develop and lead a small team of sales representatives and backoffice support staff in order to meet the company business plans. You will be responsible for setting the targets, planning, creation of marketing and sales strategy, execution of action plans. Your task will be finding and growing the market. You will talk to potential clients’ R&D Heads and specialists, Heads of Production, Supply Chain last but not least Company Managers, so a sound combination of technical know-how and sales skills, experience and talent is what we are looking for. In order to develop the right product mix and solutions based on clients’ needs you will work close with Smartmelamine R&D Team in Germany and production team in Slovenia. This is a hands on job, as you will be mentoring junior sales representative on business trips two to three days a week using “Learning by doing” technique.


If you are experienced Sales Representative / Sales Manager who has leadership experience and would like to further develop this with us, ideally you know the market in some niche segments, this is the right job for you. Your customers will be big industrial brands and you will be able to make an impact and contribute to sustainability which is a future trend and need.

  • You have some 10 years of experience in technical sales ideally of semifinished products or products for industry
  • Out of this you do have three years of managerial / leadership role
  • You like to work in international teams, perhaps you even speak Slovenian
  • You think and act as an entrepreneur

  • If you do not need a big city to live in
  • If you really are proactive and like to co-create company directions
